Toowoomba Quilters Club

Welcome to the official website of Toowoomba Quilters Club Inc

We are a group of people interested in all forms of needlework including quilting, patchwork, applique and embroidery. We make quilts for family and friends as well as for gifts to charities and for people who have been unfortunate to experience a disaster such as a fire. Club members enjoy socialising and helping each other by sharing knowledge and ideas.

The group was formed in the early 1980s and all meetings are now held at the Learning Network Queensland building at 27 Jellicoe Street, Toowoomba. Every Tuesday and on the first and third Saturday of each month members gather between 10am and 2pm to quilt/sew. Tea and coffee are provided and members bring their own lunch except for the second Tuesday of each month when there is a shared lunch to celebrate recent and forthcoming birthdays.

Members are encouraged to bring their “Show and Tell” on the first Saturday of each month when there is sometimes a guest speaker or workshop. On the third Saturday of each month there are opportunities to work on special or community projects or further develop your own creation.

Formal business meetings are held at 1pm on the first Saturday of the month and all members are encouraged to attend and take advantage of the opportunity to provide input into the conduct of the club. Toowoomba Quilters Club Inc is affiliated with Queensland Quilters.
